What you'll learn in this health class: Students enrolled in this class will learn to reduce stress and increase fitness, improve their overall health, and work on flexibility.
Who's eligible? Any local community member 18 and above, residing in the 11231 or 11201 area code
What does it cost? Nothing! We offer this service free to our local community members who meet the above criteria
What do I need? You'll need to bring a valid Photo ID, and a valid proof of address [such as a utility bill](that zip code thing mentioned earlier)
This class is systematic and flowing. Yoga is an ancient body/mind practice that would help students explore their body and release stress while strengthening and toning their muscles.
Much like our regularly scheduled yoga classes throughout the week... we encourage each participant to proceed at his or her own pace. Class is systematic and flowing which includes Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga and Anusara influences.
Class will include a gentle build into balancing poses and will finish with a calm relaxing meditation.
Community Open Yoga was started as a way to introduce the members of our local community to the practices of yoga and meditative practices. In addition, it serves as an opportunity for you to meet us, and for us to meet you.
